Our Story
Welcome to Camperdown Chocolate Co! We are a small family owned and operated business driven by our passion for creating a delectable chocolate experience that everyone can enjoy.
Our journey began when our second child was found to be lactose intolerant and continued as coeliac disease runs in our family. After a lot of research my husband Scott developed a goats milk based chocolate that was creamy and full flavoured, with the mission to make our chocolate accessible to those with dietary sensitivities.
It also sparked our interest in developing low allergen alternatives to promote inclusiveness at every day celebrations; which, as you can imagine, our second child was pretty happy about! This again inspired us to try a completely lactose and wheat free option in coconut milk chocolate - which is a smooth, creamy flavoured taste with a hint of coconut, free from any additives and preservatives, AND is vegan friendly!
After many years of perfecting our recipe we are excited to share our full bodied flavoured chocolate!
Watch this space as we are excited to bring out more exciting flavour combinations in the future.
Our Sustainability and Quality Mission:
At Camperdown Chocolate Co we are driven by an unwavering commitment to the quality of our products and sustainability of our practices.
Quality assurance - Our dedication to quality starts with our ingredients. We source the finest cacao beans and pair them with the creamy richness of Australian Goats milk, resulting in chocolates that offer a distinct and luxurious flavour. Our recipe is crafted with precision and every batch undergoes rigorous quality control to ensure a consistently exceptional taste.
Sustainability sourcing - At Camperdown Chocolate Co we recognise our responsibility to the environment, and this drives our efforts to reduce our ecological footprint. We are proud to partner with Fijian cacao growers who employ sustainable farming practices, ensuring the ecosystem that nurture or ingredients are preserved. Camperdown Chocolate Co are committed to minimizing waste in our production process by repurposing cacao husks for cacao tea, and composting any leftover shells. Our beans can also be separated into cacao powder and cacao butter so no parts go unused. In addition, we constantly seek eco friendly packaging solutions to reduce our impact on the planet.
